Syttende Mai Celebration & Annual Meeting
Come join our celebration of the Norwegian National Holiday, Syttende Mai, when we gather at the Old Church on May 15th at 2:00 PM.
We’re thrilled to have Kay Costa provide some light-hearted insight into being Norwegian. Kay remembers her Norwegian relatives having a keen sense of humor. They laughed just as hard if the joke was played on them or on one another. She will share childhood memories of going with her Dad when he entertained folks with Norwegian readings and jokes. We will also have Karla Wiese Miller provide musical accompaniment and entertainment once again.
The program is open to anyone and an offering will be taken for the care and preservation of the historic church. A brief annual meeting will be held to elect members to the board of directors and provide an update on some exciting news surrounding future plans for our fellowship hall expansion. Following the program traditional Norwegian treats, open faced sandwiches and coffee will be served. We ask members to bring their favorite homemade foods to serve.
