Syttende Mai Celebration & Annual Meeting

Come join our celebration of the Norwegian National Holiday,  Syttende Mai, when we gather at the Old Church – with the newly renovated social hall on Sunday, May 21st at 2:00 PM.

We’re thrilled to have “Twin Cities Hardingfelelag” providing our entertainment this year.  This group is dedicated to the performance of Traditional  Norwegian Hardanger Fiddle  Music, so it’s very fitting that this special group will be  joining us   as we celebrate not only Syttende Mai, but the     re-opening of our expanded social hall and        museum space.

During the program intermission, a brief annual meeting will be held to elect members to the board of directors and provide an update on our remodeling project. An offering will be taken for the care and preservation of the historic church. Following the program traditional Norwegian treats, open faced sandwiches and coffee will be served. We ask members to bring their favorite homemade foods to share.
